Guha Family Lineage Tree

About

As far as it is known, the first printed (Bengali) edition of the Guha Family Tree (originally based in the Thegoria Village of District Headquarters of Dhaka Zilla, pre-independent India) was released by Shri Heramba Mohan Guha during the 1930s. During India's independence in 1947, the different branches of the family were scattered all over India and abroad, and they were disconnected. This tree was reconstructed in English using available information during 1990s by Dr Tamal Kumar Guha and Shri Tarun Kumar Guha. Subsequently, on 15th February 2003, a printed (Bengali) edition was published by Shri Tarun Kumar Guha.

At the end of October 2025, I (Tamal Kumar Guha) took an initiative to make an electronic version. Due to lack of information, only the Shri Gagan Chandra Guha branch was expanded (based on the information available). Hence, this electronic version is incomplete and would take substantial contributions from all those who are part of the family or aware of the existence of different family members. I expect that modern social media will help all of us to contribute more to the expansion and completion of the Project. – Tamal Kumar Guha.
